Mary Loots's PledgePage

My name is Mary and I've taken a personal interest in eradicating breast cancer. Last year I decided to challenge myself physically, mentally and emotionally; I participated in the Avon Breast Cancer 3Day. I walked with 2,886 people from Ft. Collins to Boulder and we raised over 4 million dollars for breast cancer education and research. It was an exciting, exhausting and exhilirating time for me.
This year I've decided to double my commitment and participate in the Colorado 3Day and the Los Angeles 3day. This means I must raise a minimum of $3800 to participate in both walks. I don't think this will be a problem, last year I raised over $2400 for one walk and now I have this awesome website to get the word out to all the generous and giving people out there. :-)
Which brings me to the main point. I can't do this without you. I need your help. Would you consider making a fully tax-deductible donation to help me meet my goal? In deciding what to give, please keep in mind how far I'm walking and how hard I'll have to train.
This year over 182,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Over 40,000 will die. 80% of these women will have no genetic disposition to the disease. And all of us know someone either directly or indirectly affected by this disease. That's why it's important to me to be able to do something dramatic. I hope you will share this adventure with me-by supporting me in my fundraising efforts!
Please check back to my website for updates on training and fundraising totals! Check out my links section and go to The Breast Cancer Site to learn how you can do more to help in the fight against breast cancer. Check out my photos, I'm the tall one in the blue floppy hat! :-)
Thanks for your support!
*As of February 14, 2002, I am only registered for the Colorado 3Day. I plan to register for the Los Angeles 3Day very soon. Stay tuned!
